HeartMath is a great little company with solid products but their books on solutions for various conditions like stress, anxiety, anger, fear etc are all pretty much the same. Buy 1 and read it and you know the solutions.

Forget the meditation, the yoga. Your heart has intelligence of its own. Based on research, the method is really simple. Focus on your heart, not your brain! The Heartmath Solution is the longer book that explains this short one in much more detail.

A Viable Alternative Solution to Therapy

I was introduced to the Heartmath solution back in 2000. While studying alternative healing methods, a colleague of mine stumbled over this method and attended a weekend retreat teaching the method. After bringing back the information we practiced with each other and found the Heartmath methods more successful for Stress and Anxiety Management than years of therapy. Therapy was only keeping us stuck on the problems and not altering thinking patterns. One has to follow the methods established by the authors and actually do what they suggest on a daily basis: not simply read, thinking the information has been absorbed. Hearthmath is something you do and you practice like meditation. The more you do and practice, the more accustomed the mind and heart becomes trained to exercise the methods allowing one to break through. The method can be transforming.

Reach Your Fitness Goals Like A Heat-Seeking Missile!

How many times have you said, "This is the year I get in shape!" Then you start an excercise program, only to give up a few weeks later when life gets in the way. If you're like me, many times. It's human nature. You can only focus on so many things at once. When you work out for a few weeks and don't become a fitness model or look like the people in the commercial, it's easy to get frustrated and let that goal go by the way side.

This book, gives you a very simple plan to follow, so that you don't have to be a fat piece of s#!% for the rest of your life and die a miserable debilitated death. At any age, in any shape, Lehto's wisdom can help you. There are hundreds of fitness plans and diets out there; each promising some "magic bullet." It makes it seem like losing weight is a super complicated process. But it is not. The main problem with most plans is YOU failing to stick with them. It's YOU failing to have an kind of metrics to measure whether or not you are succeeding! It's YOU believing the hyoe and thinking Shaun T is going to take you from an obese mouth-breather to a cover model in 90 days. Lehto shows you the fallicy in this thinking and gives you the tools you need to get to where you want in very easy to follow language. He gives you very easy but practical knowledge on maintaining a diet, the excercises you need to be doing and what you need to do, to stay focused and get to where you want to be. One day at a time.

I loved this book. I have been employing his methods for five months now and am seeing some great results. Very slowly, and its taking more time than i wouldhave thought, I am seeing my abs, which I never have. The advice Lehto gives on achieving your fitness goals can easily be applied anything you want to accomplish. Find your target. Think of the steps reach that target. Look for the threats that get in the way. Create a plan to counter those threats. Adjust your plan as needed to get to the end goal.

Besides being packed with great advice, it's an awesome and fun read from all of the great stories, Lehto sprinkles in throughout the book about his experience as a fighter pilot. I hope he writes another book just of those because the dude is a bad ass. He's definitely in my OODA loop now and thanks to him, I feel armed and ready to achieve my fitness goals!

Buy this before the Air Force takes it down!!

I feel like the author is revealing top secret training methods! And yet, at the same time, his pop-culture references (like Star Wars & Terminator), show he's just an average guy who has learned some great tools for getting into shape. It's the long-term, common-sense strategies he explains, and the step-by-step guidance he offers that are truly inspiring. But it's the humorous anecdotes about training fighter pilots all over the globe, that make this a compelling read. To be honest, I'm not a fitness junkie or in the best shape of my life, but this book makes it seem like it's actually an achievable goal for me to live a healthier and more fit life. I'll let you know how it goes....

Great book, packed with solid, well-researched health and fitness advice. The fighter pilot angle was unexpectedly brilliant, and offers great insight into how normal people are driven to excel. Lehto does a good job of showing how to apply these insights to the goal of becoming lean, muscular, and healthy.

What you're left with at the end is an effective, science-backed plan for transforming your body... and more importantly, the will, knowledge, and mindset to execute it. Highly recommended!

Taught the material well!

I must admit it's been awhile since I worked with this book, but my title is true - this book was very much streamlined to be useful rather than cumbersome, entertaining rather than difficult to pay attention to. This is almost unheard in textbook-land! Or at least in my humble opinion, so this is high praise coming from me;-)
It also had references for what it stated that gave it credibility, & therefore didn't seem by any means to be just a puff piece to get students to give nice professor reviews:)

This book is a wonderful way to identify new life perspectives. It differs from other self-help books in that the information presented is done so in a format that manages to be educational rather than pretentious. "Positively Happy" focuses heavily on life application versus a rule system. It changed my life, increasing satisfaction and happiness, and inspired me to reach for a better future; one emanating positivity!

What a shame it's out of print! This book should be *required reading* for every literate soul on planet earth from now on...until the intuitive knowledge is again simply "known".

Chances are that you have somehow stumbled into this book, like I did. Perhaps it was recommended to you by a friend or through a course. And maybe you are on the fence about buying and reading this book, as I was. I trusted those who sent me enough to make this investment. I decided to get this book.

After the first read through, I cannot say enough good things about the book or the author. For those of you that are just beginning your search for this knowledge, it will teach you step by step how to achieve, acquire, and accomplish the great things you desire for yourself and others. For those of you who are further down this path, there are understandings that you will discover clearly printed on the page. It is a wonderful book. My copy will be cherished and well loved.

This book provides the keys to effective psychic influence, not only of others, but of the world around you.

He goes into great detail concerning the importance of your hands and how you can use them to heal yourself and others.

The book is a treasure trove of instantly usable information, and you will see results immediately, if you put the information to use.

The bad thing that i have to say about the book is that it's so damn expensive!!! I saw a used copy going for $1000 !@#@$%$ dollars!!! Is that nuts or what?

I got lucky with my $46.00 copy, but i guess there are people willing to pay that much, because the information is priceless when you USE IT. It doesn't make any sense to buy a book and then not use the information, does it?

Great guide for those looking to conquer PTSD

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is something many suffer from, whether it be military related or some other traumatic event that has happened in one's life. Seeking help of some kind is key to healing your inner self, and once again, feeling whole. REBOOT! Confronting PTSD on Your Terms: A Workbook is an excellent source for those suffer from PTSD, as it not only shows you how to confront your PTSD, it is also a step-by-step guide on how to properly seek help and heal your inner self.

Also in this book, there are worksheets for one that suffers from PTSD that helps layout visually the road to recovery. These worksheets are designed for every level of PTSD, and were created to help the reader see how much healing needs to be done and to give the reader a positive outlook on their future.

I personally have never suffered from PTSD, nor do I know anyone that does, but I actually found one of the worksheets in this book to be quite helpful for improving my personal satisfaction with life. There is a check list in Section 2 that asks you to check every statement that you feel is TRUE. Though many I did check as being so, there were some that I just couldn't. That was a big eye-opener for me, when realizing and visually seeing it on paper, that I am not satisfied with all aspects of my life. This has made me realize that I do have things I need to adjust, as well as completely change in order to honestly be satisfied.

What ever type of trauma one has faced in their life, doesn't mean you have to let it shut you down. REBOOT! Confronting PTSD on Your Terms, though not a very long book, is an amazing tool for those ready to face their PTSD. It is a straight forward guide that will give the reader the confidence they need to conquer their PTSD.

As in her previous book, Why Men Love Bitches, Argov does not use the word "bitch" in a pejorative way, but rather "to describe a strong woman who has her own identity and is secure with who she is." And while encouraging women to be strong, independent and inscrutable is sound advice, the motivation behind this advice-to keep his interest-makes for a headache-inspiring contradiction. Fortunately, Argov takes readers step-by-step through her process, including numerous "Relationship Principles" that keeps her concepts clear ("Relationship Principle 35: Men are intrigued by anything they do not completely control."). Though the generalizations Argov uses to describe her pre-bitch audience can at times be condescending, and her goals are more about acting-rather than believing-that you don't need a man to feel complete, the behavior she encourages is healthy and useful, even outside the realm of husband-hunting. Taken more as a Bitch's Guide to Life-the word "relationship," after all, doesn't necessarily imply romance-this is a solid self-help.

I read this book and was re-married in a year!!!

I love this book! I was married for 21 years and my first husband treated me like a door mat! I got used, abused and everything in between. I finally divorced him and started dating again. I met a guy and I fell in love. However, I noticed that over a period of time he started acting shady, treating me like I was insignificant and we began break-up & make-up cycles, etc. I always went back because I loved him and I was hooked but he didn't love me.

I realized that there was something that "I" was doing wrong not the men. I got this book and it struck home! I was way too nice to men. I started using the techniques in this book and it changed everything. It was so invigorating! My boyfriend had been taking me for granted until I turned the table on him. He became a changed man right before my eyes. He didn't know what to think. This was a man who in the past had told me he didn't love me, he was NEVER gonna get married again, and treated me like I was a side dish.

I gave him some distance, stopped calling, made a couple of dates & then pulled a disappearing act and then ignored his calls, cancelled at the last minute...etc. Also, told him I was busy instead of being available "every" time he wanted to see me... which the book suggests. I stopped treating him like HE was my life.

However, I was never mean. I just treated him how he had treated me in the past. As a result, he started treating me like a queen! He begged to move in with me, couldn't stop calling me, doing things for me, buying me things, cooking dinners...AND professing his love for me. Ha! Ha!Ha!

I also, stood my ground and told him that I was a traditional woman and didn't like living with a man without being married. Guess what? He proposed! Who would have thought that I could have the man of my dreams by changing...myself. Oh, I did a lot of praying too! Lol!

I have recommended this book to my married AND single female friends. I love my new husband. He's NOTHING like the man he was before because I'm NOTHING like the woman I was before. He's also confided in me that one of the reasons why he fell in love with me was because I wouldn't let him get away with anything!

Sherry's book is hilarious & easy to read. I actually read it twice! I'm certain that every woman who is currently in a relationship, or desires to be in one will find this book very helpful.

Don't let the title fool you. This is a great book and is more about empowering women to get what we want in relationships. I recommend it to my clients (I'm a psychotherapist), and have gotten good feedback from them as well. Does a good job of reminding women that we must follow through with what we say, setting boundaries, and not giving in or allow ourselves to be at someones' "beck and call." Great read!
